My Best Friend and I've Never Met

With most of my traveling, it had been hard to maintain a constant friendship. I have many friends, however we'd meet once a month approximately. However, there's 1 friend that has always been there for the last six years, also we've never actually met in person. That probably sounds strange to most people, but societal media was beneficial to starters (aside from finding ways to catch a cheater), it helped me find my bestie.

Social Networking Friends

For many folks making friends on interpersonal media is the only real way that they have to meet new individuals. As people get older, it's really a lot harder to find people that they will have things in common with. But on interpersonal networking, it's simple to find friends that one can bond together with over the love of a television series, a dedication to dogs, or whatever other hobbies you may possibly have.

I met with my best friend in a Facebook group for travellers. Together with my journeys and everything else happening in my life, getting outside to social events was not likely to happen. Therefore after I clicked using the other traveler who was on my side of earth within my FB group, I had been excited. Soon we were messaging daily. Then we started talking on the phone and texting. And the friendship simply grew from there.

Long Digital Friendship

Through time she has shared important milestones of the own life. She's always been there for me when I had to talk, or wanted to vent. We've got a weekly friend date at which we watch Lifetime pictures or even a TV show together on Skype or face-time and talk every thing going on.

I've been around on her too. As her life has shifted and grown I have been around for the 3 AM panicked phone calls when one of those ways to catch a cheater actually worked and she revealed that her boyfriend was cheating. Needless to say, the bash if she got a new job. {When she got engaged, I was the second person that she told.

Online Friendships

The thought that online friendships are not somehow as legal as if person friendships is ridiculous. Social media gives us the possiblity to get in touch very deeply with different individuals. It's a convenient way to get to know people. These days people are so busy with life. Most of us think it's not possible to split out one hour or so to go have coffee or a beverage with a brand new friend. It's much easier to create time to get face book messages or internet chats or texts.

But just because the way that we make friends has changed doesn't mean that the nature of friendship has changed. Although my best friend and I have not met in person, I have no doubt that she will always be there for me. And I'll always be there for her. We are finally meeting in real life though! When I fly to her hometown to help her pick out a bridal gown a month. I am happy we found ways to catch a cheater and proceeded her on to bigger and better things!
